History...
Do you like to party? Come check out one of the Detroit areas premiere party bands: The Phenomenals. Playing all the big
hits from the 50s through the 70s, and even the occasional contemporary song or country tune, the Phenomenals guarantee a
good time! The Phenomenals feature Frank Mayeran on lead guitar and vocals, Don "Tulsa" McLean on sax and vocals, Steffen
Dziczek on drums and vocals, and bassist/vocalist, Tim Maher. The Phenomenals have been entertaining metro Detroit crowds
for over 6 years.
This music is called "Oldies," but we call it a good time. A high-energy performance by the Phenomenals
is guaranteed to get you out of your seat and on to the dance floor. The band specializes in horn driven 60s soul...the music
of Motown and Stax records. This would include music by the Temptations, Wilson Pickett, Jackie Wilson, Eddie Floyd, Smokey
Robinson, Stevie Wonder and Jr. Walker and the All Stars...just to name a few.
The Phenomenals have played for many
well-known corporations including: General Motors, Mervyn's, and JC Penny's. They have also performed at such restaurants
as Emmett's and Coney Dave's. The Phenomenals are proud to have been involved with charity events such as the 1st Annual Don
Nicholson Charity Car Show and Crestwood High School's PastaRama. The band regularly entertains at private parties like graduations,
birthdays and the occassional wedding.
